Best value truck for the money!

The Nissan XD is big! I ride higher than most lifted trucks, and it is totally stock. The ride on the 20 inch wheels is incredible. This truck is the sleeper in the US truck market. - 4.0
Goodf truck but very heavy for 1/2 ton

Great looking truck. One very minor problem with lighted mirror in sun shade. Truck is powerful, but transmission often shifts upward to next gear what seems to me too quickly during city and normal driving speeds, which results in momentary loss of power. My response is to press throttle harder which results in immediate downshift and very quick increase in speed...not bad, but not necessarily what I want in city traffic when you realize within a couple of seconds your doing 15 mph faster than the vehicle in front of you! This is common complaint of others I have spoken with. I believe the 6 speed transmission used in the diesel version would be better, or better tune the shift points in the seven speed the 5.6 gas XD comes with. Gas gauge should read fuel depletion rate vs fuel economy. On the interstate at 78 it will achieve about 16.5 to 17 mpg. Around town 13. I often tow a 16 foot lightweight trailer loaded with a Yamaha UTV and achieve average of about 12.3 mpg. Good comfortable truck, but the Fosgate high end radio is not near the level of Bose. - 5.0
